2015: A Brief Outlook

February 2nd, 2015

New_Year_FireworksThe fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) get some energy from Jupiter in Leo during the first half of the year, Uranus in Aries all year, and Saturn entering Sagittarius. These Sun signs can find that all at once, you have to make changes, become more practical and responsible, and embrace the love in your life. You have to balance being fun and carefree with being mature and responsible. Fire signs love fun and being carefree, but responsible? Not your specialty. But this is the year for it, especially Sagittarians.

The air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) get the brunt of the Mercury retrograde impact. Mercury retrogrades mid-January through mid-February in Aquarius, mid-May through mid-June in Gemini, and mid-September through mid-October in Libra. You got a preview of how difficult it can be when Mercury retrograded partially in all three of your signs in 2014. You can find that in 2015, your plans have a way of unraveling with these retrogrades, you’re not in the mood for fun, and you lack opportunity and optimism. Hide from Mercury! In general, our intellect might be on the fritz, we have difficulty expressing ourselves and being sociable, and we’re space cadets more often.

Venus will retrograde in 2015, from late July through early September. It begins in Virgo, but quickly moves into Leo. Virgos, you may find that your usual work-hard-ness disappears in late July, and you have a hard time doing anything that you should do. After that, it’s Leos who get bit by the lazy bug. If you’re a Taurus or Libra, ruled by Venus, you feel off during the retrograde, and Libras, don’t be mean to your friends, while Taureans, be nicer to your family. In general, this retrograde can make us lazy in love, and a little theatrical.

Jupiter will be in Virgo starting mid-August, which will be a nice little gift to you Virgo Suns. In September, a solar eclipse occurs in Virgo, and Mars enters Virgo late in the month, which gives you great energy to do something big in your life. Will you let your usual timid nature stand in the way of you taking a chance? With Neptune in Pisces, your opposing sign, just make sure you’re clear about what you want, and realistic with your approach, otherwise you keep getting distracted. In general, Jupiter in Virgo helps us all to be better workers, more practical and focused, and pay attention to the details.

We’ll have a solar eclipse in Pisces on March 20th, and it occurs at the anaretic degree, 29 degrees, a point of major energy. We can see something related to Pisces coming with that eclipse, especially mid-February, when Mars is crossing over the eclipse point. A lunar eclipse occurs in Libra April 4th, and it’ll be at about the same spot (just polar opposite) as the lunar eclipse in October 2014, so we can see the culmination of all the stuff that got drudged up in September/October 2014. A lunar eclipse occurs in Aries late September, and we’re headstrong and emotional.

So, Apart from Pisces.. No Major events for Scorpio/cancer Suns?.. I don’t have any planets in Virgo and Leo so that’s another Plain text lol.. What f when saturn retrogades in scorpio later this year?? Would it be as Crazy as when Saturn went direct in Scorpio? Or even worse? Damn, I’ve got like 4 planets in scorpio and even a scorp dominant so no cake for me soon. Thanks for the outlook though. I look forward to ur response

Saturn will retrograde into Scorpio for a few months, and only be at the very end of the sign (28-29 degrees), so he’ll only touch a planet if you have them at the end of Scorpio. This brief dance in Scorpio will be a tying up loose ends kind of deal, not the big stuff that’s been plaguing Scorpios over the last couple of years (Sagittarians are getting that). You get to officially finish this chapter and move on to the next. When Saturn is at the end of a transit, this is usually the good time when you see the hard work pay off and get some relief.

My natal pluto is in 29″58 scorpio. Nice. And my chart is ruled by scorpio both by aspects and positions. 🙁
What are ur thoughts on Midpoints as regards to when a progressed planet, say Sun or Jupiter, transits them this year.

And lol I have both my mars and Jupiter exactly conjunct at saggitarius.. And saturn will be sitted there too. So u can say I’m still getting it from Pops Kronos. 🙂 till 2017

I have Saturn in the 1st house, so I’m always trying to tell people the good side to Saturn. He’s a rough teacher, but if you work with him rather than against him, he’ll give great rewards. As for midpoints, you only look at hard aspects (conjunction, semisquare, square, sesquiquadrate, opposition), and interpret based on the energy of the planets involved rather than the aspect itself. Progressed planets can activate them; you’ll feel it more if the midpoint has a natal planet conjunct/opposed, a transit planet also activating it at the same time, if the two planets forming the midpoint are prominent in the chart, or are being prominently aspected in transits or progressions. Midpoints are a whole branch of astrology on their own, so I’d caution you to not play with them too much unless you’re actually studying that branch as it can get really confusing.
