Part of studying your natal chart should include trying to find the areas in life where you struggle most so you can work on them. We all need to be aware of both our strengths and weaknesses, and focusing on just one isn’t as helpful. The parts of your chart where you can have the most difficulty are Mars and Saturn, Pluto, and your South Node.

Mars rules aggression, and is what makes us act. The latter is good, except when we’re acting out and behaving badly. We can push too hard, be impulsive, or act impatient with the areas he touches. Saturn is the planet of restriction, and shows limits. We often have difficulty with the areas he touches until we’ve learned all of our lessons and truly grown up. It takes a while to get there and satisfy him. For these two planets, try to focus on the signs and houses they’re in, the houses they rule, and aspects they make. The traditionally difficult aspects (namely the square and opposition) can be even more difficult with these planets involved.

Pluto is obsessive, controlling, and destructive. With areas that he touches, we have to learn to continually transform, but we tend to reject that, and he forces change into our lives through destruction, power struggles, and obsession. Ultimately, you don’t want to fear Pluto, but work with him, because his energy is powerful and you can use it to create the kind of life you want. With Pluto, the sign position doesn’t matter as much for individuals since he’s in the same sign for many years, and is considered a generational planet. For your own chart, look to the house position of Pluto, the house he rules, and any aspects he makes.

The South Node is one-half of the lunar nodes, where the Moon‘s orbit crosses the ecliptic. The North Node shows where you need to grow towards, while the South Node shows where you need to grow away from. The South Node is your karmic baggage, the lessons you’ve already learned, and the traits that are already developed. We tend to lean towards our South Node because it’s familiar and comfortable, so it’s easier to manifest, and we resist the North Node as much as possible. It’s to our detriment, because we need to be manifesting the North Node if we want to truly grow and be ultimately happy in this life. Look to the sign and house position of your South Node, as well as any planets conjunct. Planets square your nodes need to be addressed because they can show what’s holding you back from manifesting your North Node.

These are just some of the parts of your chart that can show difficulty in your life. The purpose of studying isn’t to find an excuse for the trauma or challenges you’ve faced, but to pinpoint the source and figure out ways to change the energy into something positive. Often, the most difficult parts of your chart are the ones that can create the most good in your life if you work with them.

Saturn is generally considered the best planet for Taurus & Libra ascendants as Saturn holds the ownership of 9th & 10th houses for the first; and 4th & 5th houses for the second ascendant.

Being owner of angle & trine house together makes Saturn the most benefic for these two ascendants.
