Asteroid Prey

Asteroid Prey quite literally shows the areas of life where you can be someone’s “prey”. Each house can show different people who prey on you and different ways it occurs (if Prey is conjunct the house cusp, it will be much more obvious energy for you):

1st house – can be seen as prey to anyone, may find you’re taken advantage of most when you try to put yourself out there; this position is most difficult when conjunct the 1st house cusp
2nd house – can be preyed upon financially or by people in the financial industry so have to be careful with your money, or by the people who pay you
3rd house – can be preyed upon by siblings, those younger than yourself, people in your neighborhood or at school, electronically, or taken advantage of mentally
4th house – can be preyed upon by family, at home, by people you know very well, or in places you know very well, or taken advantage of emotionally; being prey can feel like it’s a basic part of who you are, so that must be broken
5th house – can be preyed upon by your children, those you date or love, are taken advantage of in love, or when you’re trying to be creative
6th house – can be preyed upon at work, by coworkers, through your work, by health professionals, or by animals
7th house – can be preyed upon by those you’re close to or in a relationship with, your partners, in one-on-one settings, legally, when trying to be fair
8th house – can be preyed upon by business partners or those you share finances or financial opportunities or responsibilities with, by your lovers, sexually
9th house – can be preyed upon pursuing higher education, by the law or judicial system, during travel, when trying to get away
10th house – can be preyed upon by your elders (parents, bosses, mentors), in your career, in a public way (in a case I dealt with once, one chart of someone who was the victim of a serial killer had her asteroid Prey conjunct the 10th house cusp; this house can show what you’re known for, famous for)
11th house – can be preyed upon by friends or by/in large groups, in an unusual way, online (this and the 3rd house would be most connected to cyberstalking and cyberbullying)
12th house – can be preyed upon in secret, behind your back, by those who try to harm you subconsciously, spiritually, or using things like curses, in a confined place like a prison or hospital

Prey can also show where you deal with other people who have been prey (so with the 11th house, your friends tend to be people who have been prey, or with the 5th house, those you date, for example), and where you can help people to overcome being prey. You can be understanding of what they’ve experienced, and try to help them guard themselves better.
