Planetary Indications for Julian Assange, the Wikileaks Founder

Julian Assange, the Wikileaks founder, has been in the news for some time for one reason or the other. Initially, he hit the media headlines by allegedly leaking out certain documentary information which was embarrassing to certain concerned countries. The information, on the face of it, appeared quite damaging to the related countries or men at the helm of affairs. In a way, the leaks shook the world. Later, he has been in the news on the allegations of sexual abuse of one or two women in Sweden. He is continuing to face a legal battle on that score. It would be interesting to analyse the horoscope of such a personality as noted hereinbefore.
As per information available in public domain, Julian Assange, was born on 3 July, 1971 at 2: 05 P.M. (14.05 hours) in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The Vedic astrology chart for his birth details with 23 degrees of sign Libra rising in the ascendant has been worked out which may be visited at sky map attached to this article. The readers may note the basic difference of working out the planetary position and ascendant in this particular case, between the western system and the Vedic system. When, for the year 2012, approximately 23 degrees and 56 minutes are deducted from the planetary position and the ascendant obtaining as per tropical zodiac mostly followed in the west, the corresponding position as per sidereal zodiac followed in the Vedic astrology becomes available.
This writer has chosen to examine the horoscope of Julian Assange to answer two questions. One is about the unique planetary position which gave Assange courage required to take up cudgels with leading nations of the world. The other question to be addressed here is to predict as to what is in store for Assange in the near future in view of the ongoing litigation he is facing.
The readers would note from the attached Vedic Chart that Assange was born in sign Libra of the sidereal zodiac. The Moon is also occupying Libra. Thus the sign Libra is ruling both his personality and mind. The thrust is stronger and dominant. Libra is a masculine, being old sign of the zodiac. It is a movable also, giving him a spirit to plunge into action till the goal is reached. The point whether the plunge is positive or negative, would depend on examination of other relevant factors in the horoscope. The Moon is quite powerful in the ascendant. The owner of ascendant, Venus is in the house number nine from the ascendant in the company of Mercury and the Sun in strength. The Sun is in the visible half and near the meridian. Therefore, all the factors provide to Assange unique spirit of plunging, bringing him to the forefront of the world. If Jupiter were not in the company of Mars and Rahu with trine Saturn, perhaps the unique influences generated by sign Libra and Venus, would have brought Assange to the focus of world through different light.
Now, to answer the second question about his current times and turning point to come for him. Assange’s woes have commenced from about 2009 and are continuing in one form or the other. He is passing through Saturn major period Rahu (ascending node of the Moon) from 2009 onwards. Rahu is in the company of Jupiter and Mars, suggesting a kind of misdirected animosity or underestimated animosity. From about middle of 2012 onwards, he is passing through Jupiter sub-period in the major period of Saturn, which will run till about the 2014. During this period, the ongoing problems are not likely to end. Rather, there may be more embarrassments for him. But then, the question is whether the ongoing litigation could cause him a guilty sentence or the like. This writer sees a major bright change in his life after about 2014. Planetary favour is for him, suggesting a shift of his activities. In view of the favourable planetary indications for him from 2015 onwards, it can be said that the in between times may not result in anything which may have the effect of going beyond about 2014 because all suggested is well after 2014 for him.
