Transits as People Magnets

Have you ever noticed that during some times in your life, you attract people of a certain sign or planetary theme?

The first time I heard of this phenomenon was when I had a Pluto-Venus transit. Some interpretations said that I would likely attract relationships with Pluto themes or notice more Scorpios in my life. Sure enough, my relationships took a Pluto twist. They became more intense and life changing. And, I ended up marrying a Scorpio I met during the transit.

At that point, I became more observant. After watching this pattern unfold a few times, I now think that any major transit can act as a people magnet. People may be drawn to us to help us process the life lesson that a transit brings.

For example, my Saturn Return happened on the heels of the Pluto-Venus transit, and at that point, a parade of Capricorn/Saturn women came to my side. At my bridal shower, almost every woman in attendance had Sun, Moon, or Ascendant in Capricorn. I have Moon in Capricorn in the 7th house, so the symbolism for female Capricorns (Moon) and marriage (7th house) was strong.

The transit also highlighted my business life and led me to more carefully reflect on my career path. Capricorn/Saturn people surrounded me at work to assist. One co-worker had Sun and Saturn in Capricorn. His Saturn was trine my Saturn in Virgo. Another shared my Moon in Capricorn, and her Saturn in Virgo was conjunct my Saturn in Virgo to the exact degree if I recall correctly. Both served as mentors to me in one way or another, and we were all deeply committed to our work in that special Capricorn/Virgo way.

The serious professionalism ushered in some big questions for me though. How important was my career? Did I really want my office job to take precedence over other things in life? The interactions I had with these Capricorn/Saturn work friends helped me sort it all out and make wise choices.

More recently, Uranus in Aries began transiting my chart and brought increased independence and a few surprises. I left a successful decade-long career to launch my own business. What was “safe” no longer worked for me – I had to be free. I also decided that it was time to use my astrological skills professionally.

Sure enough, Aquarians who I had known for a long while suddenly became closer friends and seemed providentially positioned to support me. I gained a better understanding of the special genius that many Aquarian types possess. This broadened awareness has helped me work with Uranus transits more effectively. Uranus is about embracing new mindsets and possibilities, and to my Aquarian friends, that’s an exciting prospect. Other signs might view change as a threat.

Next time you sense a lot of churn happening in your life and don’t know why, check your transits! What’s the major theme? Then, notice the people around you. Are certain people playing a prominent role in your life? How might they be helping you through this new lesson or shift that is in motion? While I highlighted positive influences, it’s also possible that a negative influence could propel you forward too and act as a catalyst.

If you have ever experienced transits as people magnets, please share your story below!

    Hi there,

At the moment, I have transiting Pluto making a sextile aspect to my natal Saturn and transiting Saturn making a conjunction aspect to my natal Pluto.

Does this then mean that I should be drawn/drawing more Scorpio/Capricorn people in my life?

    If so,it hasn’t happened yet. But it’s still early….

I would look for Pluto/Scorpio and Saturn/Capricorn people and themes, yes. Saturn and Pluto working together could signal maturation and depth/deepened understandings? Maybe someone in particular will help push these issues. The sextile might allow things to feel harmonious and take the edge off of the conjunction. Conjunctions can be intense.
