Space arming race - new beginnings
Astrological comments on the space militarization
The recent successful anti-satellite weapons test conducted by China (a medium range ballistic missile destroyed an inactive Chinese weather satellite) raised concerns worldwide over the space militarization. This test represents an important moment in the space arming history so let's have a closer look.
According to the Global Security website, the test was performed at about 5:28 p.m. EST on 11 January 2007, from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center (28n12, 102e02), information that allows us to cast an accurate chart for this event:
And there it is, the Mars-Pluto conjunction at the Ascendant, conjunct with the Galactic Center! This is a great astrological picture for the development of the space militarization. It transmits an important message of force, like a threat directed to potential adversaries: "Do not mess with China".
It seems like it worked, as event triggered a condemning reaction from the USA: "The U.S. believes China's development and testing of such weapons is inconsistent with the spirit of cooperation that both countries aspire to in the civil space area," National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said. So the US wants space cooperation.
Let's explore this topic a little. It is known that the USA and the former Soviet Union had conducted similar tests and had acquired anti satellite capability in the 1980s.
What is less known is that on August 31, 2006, the US president, George W. Bush, authorized a new national space policy that establishes overarching national policy that governs the conduct of U.S. space activities, available on the Office of Science and Technology Policy website.
The first fundamental US space policy goal is not to explore the solar system or better the understanding the Universe, but an offensive military goal: "To strengthen the nations space leadership and ensure that space capabilities are available in time to further U.S. national security, homeland security, and foreign policy objectives."
Further, we read that to achieve the goals of this policy, the Secretary of Defense shall develop capabilities, plans, and options to ensure freedom of action in space, and, if directed, deny such freedom of action to adversaries, which constitutes a clear reference to anti-satellite weapons.
Many billions of dollars have been spent already on further implementations of the space weapons program started by Ronald Reagan.
The astrology chart for the moment this US national space policy was signed by George W. Bush, August 31, 2006 is even more telling for the future of space than the Chinese anti-satellite test, by revealing the real intentions of the US:
We notice right away the same Mars-Pluto-Galactic Center connection: here Mars conjunct with Lilith and the South Node in square with Pluto conjunct with the Galactic Center, consistent with the claim that the outer space belongs to the United States and if anybody tries to get in the way, they will be quickly eliminated.
The remarkable T-square with focus on the Sagittarius Moon (space satellites) and the Uranus-Sun & Mercury opposition at the base, stands for research on and development of space artificial satellites (Sagittarius Moon) loaded with cutting edge technologies, which form the base for this program.
The other T-square in the chart is has the opposition formed of Saturn in Leo (conjunct Venus) opposing Neptune in Aquarius, both in square with Jupiter in Scorpio. This configuration stands for the US imperialistic long-term plans to control the world.
The Mars-Pluto cycle explained
As outlined above, the two charts have something in common, the Mars-Pluto connection, with Pluto conjunct the Galactic Center, standing for events on the space militarization race. In the US national space policy chart we have the Mars and Pluto in the waning square phase, which stands for "the crisis of consciousness": the US space policy was finally revealed to the world.
The Chinese antisatellite test happens during a Mars-Pluto conjunction, which stands for "new beginnings".
While the Pluto-Galactic Center conjunction will still last, that is only during 2007, the next phases of the Mars-Pluto cycle will mark new events on the space use for miitary interests.
I therefore foretell a provoking move on one side in mid-May 2007, when transiting Mars will square Pluto conjunct the Galactic Center, the waxing square is known as the "crisis of action" and an escalation of the tensions or even a space-based military conflict in the second half of September 2007, when Mars will be opposed to Pluto, marking a peak in the space military history.
Mars will then become retrograde in November and go backwards to re-aspect Pluto twice during the first months of 2008. This is a long influence which allows time for long-term issues to develop. Not good.
Sad, but true. The world becomes a worse and more dangerous place to live in.
